The Manufacture
The idea of an object is shown in a drawing first. The original is then created with modeling clay. This process can take several days to complete.
Once this work is completed, the original is coated with liquid silicone. This becomes, after drying to a solid shell. This gives the form more stability for future use, it is then completely enclose with resin. This layer hardens and is cut partially into several pieces.
After the original has been removed, now the silicone and resin mould can be use as a shell. The silicone mould is then filled with a mixture of sands of different grain size and color, pigments, binders and water. Silicone and resin mould will removed after setting, and an intense reworking of the object is required. Even now, more influence can be taken to the surface and color.
